KENNY NORTHUM
MANAGING PARTNER


Kenny is a native Texan and is well-known and respected throughout the Southwest (and nationally) for his knowledge and "hands on" expertise in design and performance engineering, as well as for consistently high quality restoration work.

He has extensive experience in engineering graphics and design, mathematics, and finance. In 1982, Kenny chose to pursue work in the Automotive Industry, working on early Mustangs, Thunderbirds, Shelby Cobras and Shelby Mustangs. It was during that time he worked to maximize the performance and handling of these early muscle cars via chassis/suspension component design, as well as fabrication and performance engine machining.

Kenny is experienced in the classic and muscle car parts industry, and has worked with many worldwide parts and component vendors to design new or better parts for the classic and performance car enthusiast. He has also owned several noteworthy vehicles, including a 1965 Shelby GT350, 1966 GT350H, 1970 Mach 1, 1999 Mustang Cobra and a 1972 big block Corvette.

Kenny was the Project Lead for the Series One Roush Mustang Serial #3, Project Coordinator for The Shinoda Boss Mustang for Cragar Wheel @ SEMA 1997 and was the Architect of The DM-450 Terlingua Mustang.

We are a team of experienced players getting together and starting a new shop with a focus on early and late model domestic vehicles, with a focus on Ford, Lincoln and Mercury products.  We are also experienced with Chevrolet, Pontiac, Buick, Oldsmobile, Dodge, Plymouth, and Chrysler products. 

2. Is Quantum Performance affiliated with Unique Performance?
No. While the names are similar, there is no affiliation between Quantum Performance and Unique Performance.

3. What kind of work does Quantum Performance do?
QP is staffed and equipped to do engine, transmission, suspension, wheels, brakes, exhaust, electrical, restoration, body, and interior work. Our Team Leaders each have over 30 years of experience in the automotive repair, modification, and restoration business.

We are a first-class, professional operation - not a backyard garage. We treat our customers and their cars with the respect they deserve. QP complements other shops in the North Texas area, but our level of service and professionalism sets us apart from the rest. Only the best subcontractors are used for any paint and re-chroming work that may need to be performed.

8. What kind of cars does Quantum Performance work on?
QP works on all domestic brands with a special focus on Ford vehicles. We also own the same cars that our clients do - Mustangs, Galaxies, Boss Mustangs, vintage Shelby GT350's GT500's, late-model Shelby GT500 and Shelby GT Mustangs, and Ford GT's. In addition we are the only Authorized Shelby Mod Shop in the Southwest that is working jointly with Shelby Automobiles to build post title performance packages for 2005 and newer Ford Mustangs.
